This dainty Christmas ornament is more than a holiday ornament. It is dainty in size and the "snow" effect of the glass would make this perfect for a window hanger as well as a Christmas ornament. The snowflake lends this beauty to be up all winter long. The copper snowflake is placed between 2 pieces of glass and fused together in my kiln. The bottom glass is a clear base that has white very thin strips and white flakes that give the illusion of snow. This glass is then topped with a clear glass and a hanger. Due to the firing process the back is flat and the top is slightly domed. The hanger is fired between the glass for strength and stability. This is all wrapped up with a jute hanger.
This beauty is about 1 1/8"wide, 1 1/4"tall (without hanger) 1 3/8" tall with the hanger. Copper snowflake measures about 1". Measurements may vary slightly due to the organic nature of the glass and that they are hand measured, however I do try to be as accurate as possible.
This is hand made and designed by me in my personal smoke free studio.
