This beautiful dragonfly is made from crushed glass placed in a mold. The wing veins are outlined in cobalt blue and the body and edges of the wings are a transparent cobalt blue. The cobalt blue is placed mostly around the edges of the wings and the rest of the wings are a clear. The glass is transparent and is beautiful when the sun is shining. These are beautiful in a window but also look stunning hanging on a Christmas tree or on the wall. There is a hanger melted into the right side of the wind. It is placed into the mold prior to firing in the kiln for security.
This dragonfly is sturdy and just the right size, measuring 2 3/4 inches from wing tip to wing tip, just shy of 2 inches from head to tail, and about 1/4 inch thick. It weighs a mere .65 ounces.
These are made and designed by me in my personal home smoke free studio.
